・A は B

//Meaning: A is B

e.g.
私　は　学生です。//I am a student.
これ　は　りんごです。//This is an apple.

Differnce between は and が.

は is used when you wanna emphasise an object (after は).
A は ''B'' です。
わたし は ''せんせい'' です。
(I am not a student, astronaut, zookeeper. I am a ''teacher''.)

が is used when you wanna emphasise a subject (before が).
''A'' が B です。
''わたし'' が せんせいです。
(He is not a teacher, shi is not, they are not. ''I'' am the teacher.)
